PROJECT OVERVIEW

Point Judith Country Club is an exclusive golf and country club that was established early in the 20th century. Situated on acres overlooking Narragansett Bay Point Judith has catered to the gentry of RI for over one hundred ten years. Over time much of the club property has been classified as conservation land.

Management of the club wanted to provide upscale, course-side restrooms for their golf members, but the local conservation commission was concerned about too much disturbance to the natural environs, as well as possible pollutants leaching into wetlands. With septic and sewer out of the equation club management turned to Clivus.

The C-11 Trailhead restroom seen so often at state and municipal parks was the answer. The composting unit is self-contained so there is no leachate and site disturbance was minimal. The interior is clean, roomy, and odor-free; and the exterior was matched to complement other buildings on the golf course and those surrounding the club. Members now benefit from a new comfort station and the conservation commission is happy with the outcome.
