PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Country Club at New Seabury is the largest New England seaside resort. Its select membership includes guest privileges for two championship golf courses rated among the Top 50 Resort Courses by Golf Digest. Management wanted to provide remote restroom facilities and shelter from inclement weather. Septic was not an option because of the club’s close proximity to Nantucket Sound and its nitrogen sensitivity. Digging for sewer lines would cause long term damage to the established fairways and grounds.

Archi-Tech Associates designed four custom comfort stations that fit in with the landscape and overall “seaside feel” of the course and that maintained the upscale image of the club. Clivus composting systems, foam-flush toilets, and hand sanitizer dispensers removed the need for four septic systems, preserved the fairways and landscape, and eliminated all sewage and wastewater discharge.
