Town of York, ME uses Clivus at Mount Agamenticus Visitor Center

The Town of York, Maine, discovered that Clivus restrooms could attract and accommodate a marked increase in visitors to Mount Agamenticus. When the Town decided to expand parking facilities in an effort to curb vehicle debris and runoff to the areas abutting the mountain roads, it made sense to also provide sustainable restrooms to enhance the visitor experience. Located at the base and summit, hikers, bikers, and snowshoers can visit the new indoor comfort stations before, during, and after their trail excursions without having to “call upon nature”.  The result was a sustained boost in the town’s tourism dollars and economic development.

Happy tourists spend more time, and money, in the nearby commercial areas.  Everyone is happy!
