YMCA Camp Belknap is a boys camp founded in 1903 in Mirror Lake, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee. After a century of growth, it was time to look into upgrades with sustainability in mind.
Following the reconfiguration and expansion of the Juniors Division cabin area, a new bathhouse was built to round out the renovations. Camp directors contacted Clivus New England to find the most cost effective and environmentally sound solution to deal with restroom waste. Architects integrated foam-flush toilets and Clivus composters into the final building design, minimizing space needed for the final building and waste treatment footprint, reducing overall water usage, and extending the life of the existing septic system.
